If you're open to sharing a room and metting another ME-Lister you can get added to the Roommate Pairing List once 50% of your invoice balance has been paid and you MUST have travel insurance.

Does it Cost More If Your're Solo
Solo rooms are not priced higher, you just don't have anyone to split the cost of the room with. They do give a little price break on that but we're talking 10-20%.

Everyone has until rooms sell out at the resort or 120 days prior to departure (or whichever comes first) to find their roommate, to add your But, the added privacy, peace of mind, and certainty are well worth it and prices increase the longer it takes you to lock it in. Choose what feels best for you. This is your experience. And the thing is, you have options, as long as they're still available.

It's Optional but highly recommended. And, when you don't get it within 5 days of booking your trips your covrage options start dwindling. Listen, Travel insurance companies provide the compensation options not just if you can't make the trip, but if something goes wrong on it as well so get the policy that gives you the widest range of coverage if or when you need it. Girl Let's Go has a zero refund policy so don't let a little insurance policy stand in the way of being able to have options... "if" you need them.
